The deadline to sell camp cards is approaching! All money and unsold Camp Cards are to be returned to Marilyn Reither before April 20th. Any cards not returned by this date are considered owned by the scout, at $5.00 each
That gives scouts a few more weeks to sell the cards and earn 1/2 of what they sell towards their own individual scouting expenses. It’s a NO-LOSE since you can return the cards you aren’t able to sell! If you knock on doors, you will be surprised how easy it is. This is an excellent opportunity that comes once a year, and the AAC incentives are much improved from last year! How many can you sell?

We finally have an update on the location of the Foothills Day Camp, June 9-13.
The location is the LDS Church on Trickum Road, just off of Sandy Plains. If you are planning on sending your scout, please contact Robert Payne, Camp Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All scouts will be at their new rank for Day Camp, so current Tigers will be Wolves and so on. If you have a boy who will be in the first grade after May, they will be registered as a Tiger Scout. There will be a Tot Lot for 5 day volunteers, and the female siblings of scouts or daughters of 5-day volunteers will also form their own den.
The District Day Camps are volunteer led, so please think about volunteering at this event. While 5-day volunteers are absolutely wanted, if we have several 2-3 day volunteers, that will go a long way to allowing our scouts to attend, as we must provide enough volunteers to cover our scouts in a 4 to 1 / scout to leader ratio. Otherwise, while we might have quite a few scouts join up, we will only be able to send scouts if we have enough adults also volunteering. Another advantage of being a 5-day volunteer is that you get to have siblings attend, use of the Tot-Lot, and a discount for your scouts who are attending.

This is a great event, full of fun activities to keep the boys interested and excited about scouting all year long.

The Scouting for Food event starts March 8th and runs through March 14th. We are asking that all scouts canvas their neighborhoods and families and ask for donations of non-perishable items as our yearly scouting for food event. All donations will be dropped off to Must Ministries.
We ask that you wear your uniform when you drop off bags to willing neighbors, then let them know you will collect all bags by March 14th / 15th at the latest. Then, bring everything you’ve collected to the Hobo Dinner on March 15th, from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M., hosted at the Christ United Methodist Church, located on 1340 Woodstock Rd, across from the Super Target.
At the Hobo dinner, we are inviting all scouts to bring 1 (one) canned food item to put into our Hobo pot!. We ask that it be something non-dairy, and not anything seafood or shellfish. But anything else goes! It sounds disgusting, but tastes great. Bring all your donations with a count of what you’ve gathered. Each scout who brings at least 1 (one) item gets a patch, and those that bring 100+ items gets a Super-achiever patch.
We will provide the utensils and drinks, and would ask if each family brings one dessert item (box of cookies etc). We will hold our pack meeting at that same time, and hand out more advancements that have been completed at that point.
Plan on joining us for a fun time, and if your scout wants to dress like a hobo, they are certainly welcome to!
